Where the Dormer King Story Began

Brothers Anthony Pititto and Thomas Pititto Sr. began their careers in construction at just 13 years old, working alongside their father and learning the trade firsthand. Those early years taught them not only the skills of construction but also the value of hard work, dedication, and taking pride in a job well done.

In 1972, the brothers decided to venture out on their own and came up with the name Dormer King. Starting with very little, they relied on their experience, determination, and strong work ethic, spending countless hours building the company one project and one customer at a time.

Their principles were simple: be honest, communicate, provide exceptional service, never compromise on craftsmanship, and treat each customer’s home as if it were your own. Those values helped Dormer King grow into one of Long Island’s established home remodeling companies.

In 1986, Anthony and Thomas opened the Dormer King office, which remains the company’s corporate headquarters today—a lasting reminder of how far their vision and hard work carried them.

For Anthony and Thomas, however, Dormer King was never just about building a successful company. They hoped that one day the next generation of the Pititto family would carry on what they started while preserving the values upon which the company was built.

For the Pititto family, construction has always been more than a business—it has been a way of life. From days spent together on job sites to conversations around the Sunday dinner table, Dormer King has always been, and continues to be, a true family affair.

We proudly honor Anthony and Thomas for the foundation they built, the values they passed down, and the opportunity they created for the generations that follow.

The Next Generation of Leadership

Frank Pititto and Thomas Pititto Jr. began working for the family business at a young age. What started as a laborer's job—cleaning up jobsite garbage—quickly grew into a lifelong passion. Over the years, they've had the privilege of learning every aspect of the trade, from hands-on construction to design and management, eventually working their way up to partners when the senior Pitittos passed the torch.

They love bringing their clients' ideas to life, transforming their visions into spaces that are both beautiful and functional. They believe the secret to our success is simple: treat our clients and their homes with the same respect we would want in our own home, while providing exceptional craftsmanship and quality products to deliver results we can be proud of.

Annmarie Pititto-Harty, one of Anthony Pititto’s daughters, has been working in the company since 1989. With a firm knowledge and understanding of every phase of construction, Annmarie is a big part of guiding our projects to a successful completion. Antonette Pititto-Johnson, another of Anthony’s daughters, leads our expediting department, helping clients navigate the permitting process smoothly and avoiding common frustrations associated with this stage of construction. Anthony Pititto, Frank’s son, is actively involved in the field, assisting with project management and providing hands-on solutions to ensure quality and efficiency on every job.
