“It was an absolute pleasure working with Dormer King over the summer for a dormer and chimney removal job. Our family has been living in our current house for 20 years now but it was the first time we ever worked with professional contractors, and they DID NOT disappoint. Dormer King is a very well-managed company with owners who are honest, knowledgeable, and friendly, not to mention all the staff. They are an extremely organized company with awesome communication between themselves and to the customers, which makes everyone’s lives SOOOO much easier. If you need to make any changes or run into any issues, you just tell Annmarie at the office, and the message gets relayed to the relevant person right away. She is extremely responsive to all your needs so everything will get done in a timely manner and you don’t have to chase people down or wait for answers, which has made this whole process so much easier. They are also upfront with the costs and don’t try to rip you off, never got any surprises with the spreadsheet. With elderly parents, a toddler, and 2 dogs, it was not an option for us to move out while the construction was in progress. The framing/demolition team led by the manager, Angel was absolutely wonderful. He comes in every morning with the biggest smile and explains the schedule for the week, what will be done, who and how many of his staff will be coming in and out, how much noise to expect, etc. We were well informed throughout the entire process and knew exactly what to expect until the end, which I find to be very important. Our family is still so thankful that Angel and his wonderful team truly made sure that our family’s safety was top priority throughout the hardest part of the construction. When our construction started, it was literally the 2 hottest days of this Summer with temperatures over 100 degrees, yet the team, always so pleasant, made sure all our furniture is well covered each morning and made sure everything is vacuumed and cleaned up by end of their work day even though they will be back in the morning. They are so clean and considerate, not just towards people but to your belongings. When they ripped out my chimney on the first floor, I literally have never seen so much dust and thought it would like weeks to clean up but nope, by end of the day, the millions of brick pieces were gone. Unlike other companies, they don’t leave the dump truck in front of your house, they take all the trash and the dump truck with them daily. My neighbors had absolutely no complaints throughout the construction and only had good things to say, which was amazing. They also work so fast that when I was leaving for work at 8am, they started removing the existing second floor and by the time I came home at 6pm, the new frame"

“Dormer King and the entire team has been fantastic to work with from start to finish. We got a few estimates for our second floor addition and DK was by far the most reasonable. Our entire project from start to finish took about 7 weeks, which is exactly in the timeframe that was estimated. Our neighbors were literally amazed at how fast the project was completed, and the quality of the work. When we told some neighbors the 6-8 week estimation, some of them laughed and said “yeah sure, good luck!” But that was exactly when the project was finished! Everyone knows that construction projects can take time and experience delays; we all have that house in our neighborhood that started construction 6 months ago and still isn’t finished. Well not with Dormer King! They are prompt and on top of their game, and that is exactly why we went with them. Having very young kids at home, including a newborn, we knew needed our project to be finished quickly and not drag on. And that is exactly what you can expect with DK. The entire project we were kept in the loop about everything that was happening and what to expect. Angel on the framing team was an absolute pleasure to work with. He ran a tight ship with his team but was always so friendly and greeted our family with a smile every morning. He was very forthcoming with any status updates or unanticipated developments, etc. His team was so respectful and polite; they cleaned up everything at the end of each work day, so that when they were done there was no potential danger and the yard could be used as (mostly) normal. They even reset our deck furniture for us so we could use our deck over a long weekend. Ann Marie and team in the office are always so quick to respond with any questions or concerns. Emails are responded to so quickly which is an huge relief when you’re taking on a renovation. They take all the stress out of it! Blake on the finishing team was so easygoing and great to work with. Even when they were working through a heatwave and other weather challenges, which caused some unforeseen setbacks outside of everyone’s control, he was always keeping us updated and accommodated as best as he could. We can’t thank the Dormer King team enough for their amazing partnership from start to finish, and would HIGHLY recommend them for any of your renovation needs!"
